Bayer Leverkusen presents its new head coach Carles Martínez. The 42-year-old comes from Toulouse and will lead the Werkself in the new season. Werner Wenning, Chairman of the Shareholder Committee of Bayer 04, said: "Firstly, our thanks go to Kasper Hjulmand for his work and commitment in the past season." Fernando Carro, Chairman of the Management Board of Bayer 04, explained: "We have developed a strong national and international development as Bayer 04 in the past years." Simon Rolfes, Sports Director of Bayer 04, emphasized: "We have intensively dealt with the question of which trainer is best suited for the next development phase of Bayer 04." Carles Martínez will be presented on Friday, June 5, at 12:00 pm, in the Leverkusen BayArena. The new coach starts his first day in Leverkusen, will be received at the airport by Fernando Carro and Simon Rolfes. After his first steps through the BayArena, it goes to the press conference, where Carles Martínez speaks with full enthusiasm about his new task.
