Bayer Leverkusen has signed Afonso Moreira, another football talent. The 21-year-old Portuguese U21 national player comes from Olympique Lyon to the Rhine and receives a long-term contract with the 2024 double winner until June 30, 2031. The club did not comment on the transfer fee for the left winger. Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano writes that Bayer is paying the French first division club a transfer fee of 32 million euros. Afonso Moreira is a fast, agile and tricky attacker with a good goal completion and an excellent view for his teammates, said Bayer sports director Simon Rolfes. Moreira played 37 competitive games for Lyon last season, scoring eight goals and providing eleven assists. Other talents like Kennet Eichhorn have also been recently signed.
